Our owner Shelly boarded and trained horses in the Cariboo for decades before opening The Country Pedlar. She wanted to live up to the true meaning of the word: a place with pretty much anything, run by people who know your name.
Since then, we've happily become a local nexus for both visitors and locals, grateful for every person that's walked in the door. We've hired everyone from retired ranchers to opera singers, co-founded the Outhouse Races, kept our brave wildfire fighters cool, still host the Open House every November, and run gift drives for local seniors.
Because maybe a store should be more than a business.
